SPCC Members host events and classes throughout Colorado. Each month we have a complete calendar of events.
The Suicide Prevention Coalition of Colorado was formed in 1999, when
a group of concerned citizens set out to create a statewide agency with
the purpose of preventing suicide and creating a resource network for
those who were working to prevent suicide around the state.
Today, SPCC’s membership of concerned agencies,
organizations and individuals who are working in the areas of suicide
prevention,
intervention and postvention has statewide reach.
As a
Coalition, we:
- Can achieve more widespread reach within Colorado than any single organization could attain
- Can speak in a larger & more powerful voice than any individual organization
- Can provide a range of advice and perspectives to the Office of Suicide Prevention, the media, legislators or the general public
- Can foster cooperation and collaboration between grassroots organizations, community members and/or diverse sectors of a large organization
